Off to Ocean Adventure in Subic Bay, Olongapo again we were a couple of weeks ago.
But unlike our previous (and the usual) travel route in going there in 2004 (via the Gapan-Olongapo Road), we took the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) coming from the North Luzon Expressway's (NLEX) Spur/NLE tollgate (next to the Dau Exit), cruised for about 25 minutes until we reached the Tipo Exit connecting SCTEx to the Subic Bay Freeport Expressway and arrived in Ocean Adventure in record time:
Thousands of tons of earth must have been moved in constructing the SCTEx. This expressway noticeably passes through what used to be mountains and hills in Bataan:
At Ocean Adventure, our pamangkins were treated to and highly enjoyed the environmentally themed show of the Sea Lion Marine Patrol:
And, of course, we got to see again Subic's famous monkeys taking siesta along the road leading to Ocean Adventure:
To Subic again, probably in a month or so, to bring our other nieces and nephews!
